The reason I chose Diversity, World Peace, Love etc.… as my topic is because, that’s what I stand for. I’m not going to write some smelly lie, and then play along! I believe in all things world peace, diversity, life, and living! When I finally began to make it, I had no idea what I was going to make. My mind was blank, and I admit, I was making stuff up while I made my other ones. But when I knew that this one was going to be the last, I had to really focus and think about what I believe in. And then everything went smoothly from there.
The few problems that I faced, was mainly disliking my own project, and some glitches here and there. When I would look at everyone else’s, and then mine, I felt stupid! Mine was just a glitter, sparkly mess! It looked like Master Sparkles, Destruction Of Evil, came up and puked on my pinwheel! I simply gave my pinwheel some hope… And brushed it off… Literally… I brushed the glitter off. I also faced the problem of spinning *insert mad sigh here*. It wouldn’t. Spin. IF IT’S LIFE DEPENDED ON IT! I figured out that it was because the pushpin was somehow uneven, and that jacked, EVERYTHING out of whack.
I had to make the decision of throwing my pinwheel away, or just going with the 5 days work I had. I decided to be smart, not start over, and keep it. I also had to decide, wether or not the paint it, or just leave the pattern. I mixed the ideas together. Some other things I face, were- How big it would be, colors, supplies, writing, pictures, back, front, pencil… SO MANY!
I think that my pinwheel was quiet successful. Despite, that problem with glitter. I think and KNOW it’s not my best work, and I know I should have tried a lot harder. If I could change anything, I think that it would be to not add that black glitter, and to put more time in it (Not rush it). I think that the work aspect of it was about a 50/50 chance. I could have done better, but I’m okay with what I have.
The reason I chose my theme is because... Well, I'm basically addicted to cereal! I know it's a sad thing, but it's SO delicious! Some of the problems that I faced was the clay being too wet, or too dry, or the coils not being hid enough, and it sinking in!! It drove me insane! But, luckily Mrs. Ruggles, and Ms. Hoppkins are around, and they saved the day!
My project turned out a lot more different. It was suppose to be a cereal bowl, but it turned into a candy bowl. Cereal didn't fit the shape. It was suppose to have a spoon holder... Don't ask me why, but it did. It was suppose to have a handle, but it turned out to be a little wimpy candy bowl..
For color I'm thinking more crazy, and different colors. Like purple and blue, and lime green, and all of my favorite colors! I think that after I get it all done, it should look a lot better!!
I think that my bowl turned out to pretty awesome. At first, after it had been 'cooked' I didn't really like the looks of it, but now that I had painted it, and such, it looks pretty cool! I face the problems of painting the little balls, and painting the bottom, plus the inner walls. My bowl might not work for cereal, but I think it could pull of other foods, or decoration. I'm pretty satisfied with my bowl, and glad with the colors.
